Let the message about Christ, in all its richness fill your lives.  Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives.  Sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.  And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.  Colossians 3:16-17

There is a richness about who Jesus is and the embodiment of His own message.  There is a fullness that we have when we allow that message to penetrate into the depth of our soul.  The mark of someone who has been filled with this richness?  Singing psalms, hymns, spiritual songs with thankful hearts....giving thanks through Him to God the Father.  Maybe if we are complaining, maybe if we are dissatisfied, maybe if we are angry...then we have not understood fully the meaning of the gospel in our lives.  The Gospel being the mess that we really are, the only way to save us from that mess, and the depth of His love for us in spite of our mess.  When we truly have understood the depth of someone's gift and sacrifice for us, there is genuine gladness and joy in our lives.  Are you grateful and thankful today, in this moment for all that God has created you to be and has done for you through Jesus?  May we take a few moments to remember.  May we move towards a heart of thankfulness, awe and gratitude for the work of God through Christ.
